About DBG!

@ DBG you’re going to find me messing around with different techniques old and new – baking bread, roasting peppers, hang-drying peppers & herbs, making ice cream, butter, yadda yadda. I’m an old-soul trapped in a new-world and DBG reflects that. When I can, I like to pay tribute to the old-world immigrant style of cooking – simple, resourceful, and delicious. So nothing over-the-top or weird and nothing pretentious – just real food, real easy.

Excellent! I will be in touch shortly with a formal confirmation.

We look forward to working with you!

  1. That title is pretty cool…. how did you come up with it?

  2. I love your idea and your title. I am trying to do an in your face e-book for basic Italian cooking and my buddy was amazed at how many times I say “Don’t Burn the Garlic!!”” LOL

  3. hi Joe!
Thanks so much for getting the printable version up & running. I just printed my 1st of many recipes I’m sure. Great site, I really appreciate it.

  4. Hi Joe!
Can’t wait to try some of these recipes, any chance you can post a printable version?

  5. I didn’t figure out how not to burn the garlic until a year ago! I agree, don’t burn the garlic!

  6. I am currently working on expanding a collaborative food database called Recipes Wiki and am looking for some dedicated food bloggers to post their recipes. I was wondering if you would be interested in participating by adding a few of you favorite recipes to the site. Of course, all of your recipes would include a link back to your blog and will be attributed to you. This is a great opportunity to promote your site to a diverse foodie audience. Recipes Wiki gets an average of 310K monthly uniques and we expect that to grow tremendously after our official launch in February. Our goal is to engage all food lovers to work together to create a comprehensive food database that is community driven and free to the public. If this is something you are interested in please let me know. I hope to hear from you!
